ROAD TO SOMEWHERE

It's cover reveal day for Kelley Lynn and Jenny S. Morris's

ROAD TO SOMEWHERE,

am I can't wait to share it with you!

New! From Bloomsbury Spark, a sunny heartwarming story of discovery and sisterhood.

A road trip. A singing competition. And super-hot cowboys.

What could be better?

For Charlie, a post-high school road trip isn't just a vacation, it's life changingWhile her parents think she's helping a friend move, a chance at fame is the real reason to grab her best friends and drive to L.A. But when her super annoying, uber-responsible, younger sister, Lucy, has to tag along, it isn't quite the summer of fun she imagined.

Add in a detour to her grandparents' ranch in Texas, and between mucking the stalls, down-home cookin’, and drool worthy ranch hands, this could just turn into the best, and most complicated, summer of their lives.

Doesn't that sound great! I can't wait to read it.
Jenny and Kelley are both amazing writers and I know this book is going to be fabulous!
Don't forget to add it to your TBR list on Goodreads!

Since the story is about siblings, Jenny and Kelley asked us to share a sibling story.
I am the middle of five kids and I have a LOT of stories.
Fights, birthday parties, showing horses with one sister, competing in speech with the other.
That time my oldest brother got me drunk.
But some of my favorite memories of all of us together are from Christmas.
My older brothers weren't allowed to wake up us three younger girls.
So they never went into our rooms. They were just REALLY loud right outside our doors.
Once we were up then we'd all go wake my parents.
We had to wait upstairs while my dad had his tea. All five of
us, huddled outside their door at the top of the stairs, Then they'd let us in so we could look over the
balcony to see if Santa came or not. Looking down on the giant pile of presents was always awesome. Then it was a mad dash to get down there!

What fond memories do you have of your siblings?
Or are you lucky enough to be an only child? ;)

  1. Thanks for the reminder to add it to my GR list. I hadn't done that yet. I've been on a few road trips, college mostly. And a few with my family. But I'm sure this one will be much more fun than those! :)

    Congrats Kelley and Jenny.

  4. Haha. I have a similar story to Patsy but it included a bloody nose and a not happy really big older brother.

Thanks Rachel for helping us out. You're awesome. :0)

  8. Oh, that Christmas sounds awesome. I'm always fascinated by the way people do christmas.
One year, my parents got us kids a four wheeler, and they drove it right into the house. Apparently, we slept right through it!

  9. Aw, what great Christmas memories you have! I can't imagine what it must be like to have so many siblings, though! (I just grew up with a sister.)

  10. Best of luck to Kelley Lynn and Jenny. AND what a great new look Rachel! This is a great new format. Love it.

Your Christmas memories are fantastic! There were four kids in my family, and yet, we always managed to attract extras. Like, extra cousins and friends and strays who had no where to go for Christmas. My mom, like me, has a heart and home that is always open to strays. People and animals. Can't say no to either. We had a full house every Christmas, that's for sure. That love and kindness she shared with others, is just one of many memories and life lessons my mom taught me, and I make a practice in my own life. I really had a blessed childhood.
