It's been almost two years since the last one! So Kyra Lennon and I decided it was about time to bring it back!
For those who didn’t see this last time, or who need a quick reminder, here’s what it’s all about:
Almost all of us have imagined who would play the characters in our WIPs if they were ever made into a movie. On February 28th, we want you to “cast” your WIP, and post photos of the actors/actresses you would choose to play the characters in your latest manuscript. You don’t have to cast everyone if you don’t want to, just show us your MCs and tell us a little about them.
Also, we’d like you to tell us which songs you’d have on your WIP Movie soundtrack! This can be one song that fits the main theme of the story, or several songs that make you think of your story.
Kyra and I will each pick a winner at random, and we’re giving away one of our favorite books which were turned into movies!
My prizes: Ebook of The Book Thief by Markus Zusak + Choose one of my ebooks.
Kyra's prizes: The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky + Choose one of Kyra's ebooks OR an ARC of Game On Book 3. (How cool is that?)
I, of course, can't seem to get the linky list to work. So head over to Kyra's blog to sign up!

Hello There!
I want to get back into the habit of blogging. Because when you're away for a while it can be hard to come back. Mainly because I feel like I have nothing interesting to tell you people. I keep thinking, what did I used to write about?
*sigh*
So, I figured today I'd just pop in to say hello and tell you what I've been up to. Hopefully you'll tell me what's new with you, too. :)
Speech just started up again. I'm the head coach now, and as of yet we have no assistant coach, which is leaving me a little freaked out, but hopefully someone will step up to fill the spot.
I sent my NA novella out to some of my cps and am, of course, trying not to think about it as I wait for their responses. In the meantime I've started a new YA novel that I am super duper excited about.
And, just for fun, here's a little snippet from OVER THE OCEAN, coming this March under my NA pen name, Georgia St. Mane.
I'll be having a cover reveal for this in February, and (not to toot my own horn) it's pretty darn cute. :)
What have you been up to? What projects are you working on?

ROAD TO SOMEWHERE
It's cover reveal day for Kelley Lynn and Jenny S. Morris's
ROAD TO SOMEWHERE,
am I can't wait to share it with you!
New! From Bloomsbury Spark, a sunny heartwarming story of discovery and sisterhood.
A road trip. A singing competition. And super-hot cowboys.
What could be better?
For Charlie, a post-high school road trip isn't just a vacation, it's life changing. While her parents think she's helping a friend move, a chance at fame is the real reason to grab her best friends and drive to L.A. But when her super annoying, uber-responsible, younger sister, Lucy, has to tag along, it isn't quite the summer of fun she imagined.
Add in a detour to her grandparents' ranch in Texas, and between mucking the stalls, down-home cookin’, and drool worthy ranch hands, this could just turn into the best, and most complicated, summer of their lives.
Doesn't that sound great! I can't wait to read it.
Jenny and Kelley are both amazing writers and I know this book is going to be fabulous!
Don't forget to add it to your TBR list on Goodreads!
Since the story is about siblings, Jenny and Kelley asked us to share a sibling story.
I am the middle of five kids and I have a LOT of stories.
Fights, birthday parties, showing horses with one sister, competing in speech with the other.
That time my oldest brother got me drunk.
But some of my favorite memories of all of us together are from Christmas.
My older brothers weren't allowed to wake up us three younger girls.
So they never went into our rooms. They were just REALLY loud right outside our doors.
Once we were up then we'd all go wake my parents.
We had to wait upstairs while my dad had his tea. All five of
us, huddled outside their door at the top of the stairs, Then they'd let us in so we could look over the
balcony to see if Santa came or not. Looking down on the giant pile of presents was always awesome. Then it was a mad dash to get down there!
What fond memories do you have of your siblings?
Or are you lucky enough to be an only child? ;)

IWSG: Goals
It's IWSG Wednesday! Big, big thank you to the founder of the Insecure Writer's Support Group, Alex J. Cavanaugh! And thank you to his wonderful co-hosts this month, Bob Milne, River Fairchild, Julie Dao, and Sarah Foster! We really appreciate everyone who helps keep this group going as it grows! You guys rock!
So, my insecurity this month? Setting goals. It's the new year, so everyone is setting goals and making resolutions and I'm scared to put down anything because I know I might not reach it.
My husband told me to make my 2014 goal to get an agent. Wouldn't that be lovely? But I don't even have anything ready to query right now and we all know how stinking long it takes for these things to happen. (At least, usually.) You wait forever to get the first yes or no, then (with any luck) you send off your full or your partial and wait even longer.
So what are my chances of this being the year that happens? I have no idea, but I'm not keeping my hopes up. And I realize that if I set a goal and don't reach it by the end of the year, so what? Big deal. On the other hand. . . . I don't know. Maybe I'm afraid of failure, but I don't like to set goals I don't think I can reach.
Anyway, that's my insecurity going into 2014. 2013 was pretty awesome for me, but 2014 could end up being a dud. Lol. You just never know.
So instead of setting goals I'm just going to let the year unfold as it may and be happy for what comes, whatever it is. I don't need to reach all my goals in 2014, I (hopefully) have 2015, 2016, etc. I'm going to keep working for all my long term goals until they come. :)

Announcements (Sort Of)
I say sort of because if you follow me on Facebook you'll have most likely already heard my news, but I realized recently that I haven't shared it on here yet. :)
My first full length novel, DON'T FALL, has been picked up by Swoon Romance and will be published this spring/early summer. (No official release date yet.)
In which a teenage girl endures the over-protective love of her adoptive mother until she falls for a boy who has her wanting to spread her wings, pitched as a contemporary retelling of RAPUNZEL.
I'm excited, and also a bit nervous. But I think for now I'll try to focus on the excited part. :)
I also made a decision about a short story I wrote a few years ago. Dimples and Roses was the first story I ever sold, it was part of an anthology called Foreign Affairs, but it's already out of print. The rights came back to me and I started playing around with it. I love the characters, in fact the MC is one of my favorite females to write. It was great to be able to expand on their story, and improve on all of it. I've learned a lot since I first wrote it.
So I've decided to self publish it with a new title, OVER THE OCEAN, under my pen name, Georgia St. Mane. I used the pen name for the short story because it was adult, and everything else I was working on at the time was either YA or MG. One of the things I've learned since first writing it is that the story is actually New Adult. :) (A term I'd never heard when I wrote it.)
My plan is to release it this March, but seeing as self-publishing is brand new to me I realize that may not happen. But I'll keep you updated. :)
So, how about you? What's new in your world? I'm hoping to be around the blogosphere more this year, I've missed it. Missed everyone. So if you have news, I want to know!
