Summer's Coming!

(Okay, so I scheduled this to post on Thursday morning and just realized it didn't. Boo. So it's a few days off, but oh well.)

Today is my kids' last day of school! My oldest daughter keeps asking what we plan to do on the first day of summer vacation. Lol. I have no idea. I'm not a big planner, which I think drives said daughter crazy as she wants to know what we're going to be doing at all times.

Things I do know are happening this summer- My daughter and I just got cast in our local theater's production of Rodger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella. It will be the first show we've been in together and I'm really looking forward to it!

Horse shows! We have regionals in June and Nationals in August. It's also my daughter's first time showing at Nationals, so that's super exciting too!

This is her at a show earlier this year.

I'm sure we'll also go to the zoo, the pool, Grandma's house, and all kinds of other fun stuff.

What are your summer plans? Anything fun?

  1. That horse is amazing! Also, your daughter looks like a pro up there!

As for summer, I think my current plans boil down to "survive it." As this has been my goal for the past couple of months, I think I might need to make some changes in how I operate!

  2. lovely horse. Sounds like you shall have a very fun summer. For me, Work as usual. And hope to swim one of these days - we are floating away in TX and the pool is cold after no sunshine for a month. It beats too many hundred degree days in my book. Have a good weekend

  5. Congratulations on the show! I love Cinderella; that's my favorite fairy tale and musical, especially the song "Ten Minutes Ago". The horse show looks like fun too; good luck to your daughter!

  6. I absolutely adore Rodger and Hammerstein's Cinderella. How cool that you and your daughter get to be in a theater production for it! Those horse shows sound pretty exciting, too. Best of luck to your daughter in the Nationals!
