IWSG

It's the first Wednesday of the month (seriously, how did that happen?) and that means Insecure Writer's Support Group! I love IWSG, if you aren't already signed up for it, you should do so now. You can find more information about it here.

A great big thank you to Alex J. Cavanaugh, host and founder, and his awesome co-hosts today, Tina Downey, Elsie, Elizabeth Seckman, and Julie Flanders!

Currently I'm finding myself too busy to have time to get insecure! Unless of course it's insecure about whether I'll ever finish all the things I need to get done in the next couple months!

So today I'm going to give you words of advice from people smarter than me. :)

stay strong, and write

inspiring writing quotes

write
So keep writing! Keep learning, and keep enjoying what you're creating.
Happy IWSG day!

  1. I understand too busy, but I manage to carve out a moment or two for insecurity. Lots of smart advice here. I like the idea of chasing the writer you will be too. That's a cool idea to me.

  5. Oh, I love that comparison quote! I am so bad about reading something and then thinking, I'll never write like this, I can't ever be this good, etc. It gets discouraging. I am definitely going to keep this quote in mind.

  6. That last one is some sound advice. I can definitely do a page or so a day. It's been my pace the past two months.

  9. I love the one about not comparing yourself to people, I just wish I could actually make that work. Also, I have a strong case of nostalgia, so when I compare myself to myself of yesterday, I find that I was better yesterday than today. Either, I'm in a nose dive, or I need a perception adjustment.

  11. Great thoughts. The second one is simple but profound. The first one reminds me of a sweatshirt I have; It says: What doesn't kill me will make a great plot point in my next book. LOL

IWSG #268 (until Alex culls the list again or I goof and get myself deleted. :P)

  12. I need the comparing one stamped to my stinking forehead!!! Or maybe the top of my hand so I see while I hunt and peck on my keyboard.

  13. The comparing one, is so very true! :) It's good you've been too busy to be insecure!

  14. Great post- lots of positive vibes over here.. Glad you aren't insecure this month. Pass on whatever you've been working on whenever you want. I'm "back in the saddle" so to speak. And ready to write/read on.
