RUN FOR THE ROSES comes out in one week and I'm so excited! I've been sharing snippets on my Facebook page, if you want to check them out. :)
I'm very excited about this story, but I'm also nervous. (Of course, I suppose writers always are when a new story comes out.)
Horses were such a huge part of my life growing up, and they're still a very important part of my life now. I hope that the horse people I know who read this story will think it does justice to what horse showing is like, or can be like. I also hope the non-horsey people who read it enjoy it, and don't think it's 'too horsey.'
I also hope they don't think Abigail is a brat! Lol. She's a very driven person, but she has a lot of heart, too.
There's a blog tour starting next week, so I'll be posting links to that then. In the meantime I will have Riley Janes and Mia Josephs here on Thursday, giving an interview about their new book UNEXPECTEDLY YOU. (Which looks amazing by the way.) So be sure to stop by and say hello to them!
How about you, what are you looking forward to in the next few weeks?
PS. Thank you to everyone who commented on my IWSG post. You were all so sweet and helpful! I love you guys!
Your release is going to be great! I'm definitely looking forward to reading it. Totally normal to be nervous though :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your up-coming release! I'm sure it's a very nerve-wracking thing, but there's no reason to worry. I'm sure it will go great!
ReplyDeleteAh! One week? Awesome! I'm chilling some cheese to help celebrate. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the cover! You'll do great. Secondary Characters was a wonderful read, and books only get better!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Rachel and I'm sure your release will go well.
ReplyDeleteSo close! Yes, nerves are normal, just keep smiling :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, it's coming out in just a week? So exciting! Congrats! :)
ReplyDeleteYay, congrats! I haven't read a YA horse book since The Scorpio Races, so I'm definitely overdue for a horsey book. =)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I think I only rode a horse once or twice when I was younger, but I can see why some people become horse people; I think horseback riding is fun, even though I only got to do it once. And I think it's good to have a character who's driven; a lot of young people are especially driven these days, so it'll be something they can relate to.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting!! Congratulations and best of luck! I'm sure the book will be a huge success with everyone, horse and non-horse people. :)
ReplyDeleteRachel, sooooo very excited for you! This is a big deal. Huge congrats on your success. I think it's neat you've written about something that is so special to you.
ReplyDeleteYay to you!! It's natural to be nervous, but I'm quite certain all will be splendid. :)
ReplyDeleteJust a few more days - get excited! Will mention your release and tour on Monday.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Rachel!
