Friday Inspiration: A day late

So I forgot to post about a person who inspires me yesterday, sorry. But the thing is, I was gone taking senior pictures for a girl who is on my speech team. I have known her since she was in seventh grade and she is one awesome girl.

In fact, I have decided that she is my inspiration this week. :)

As I've mentioned before, we live in a very small town. It's not that easy to be unique here, or anywhere really. This girl is totally fashion forward, trendy and awesome all the time. And it takes guts to be that way in a town where half the girls where jeans every day, and the other half wear pajama pants. (Yes, to school. No, I'm not kidding.)

She stands out. In a good way. In an awesome way. For as long as I've known her she has always been 100% herself. (She is also super hilarious and I can't wait to work with her again when speech starts!)

Really, she'd make a pretty cool character . . . Hmm. . .

  1. Proof that one doesn't have to be along in years to inspire others. Hope she sees your wonderful post, Rachel.

  6. I have a son about her age...lol...my boys say I'm not allowed to do that (try to fix them up)...but when she's such a pretty girl, I'm allowed, right?

  7. She is adorable. Great pictures- you can feel the personality oozing out of her. Looks like my type of girl- that's for sure. Fitting in and wearing what everyone else does, is so boring. Good for her for standing out!

(And pajama pants, for real? Cripes! I thought that was just what the People of Walmart wear out, ack!)

  8. I saw these photos on FB, and now I know the story behind them she does sound very inspiring. To be able to strike out and be individual at her age is a tremendous thing.

  9. Ooh, fantastic pics! She really does have a great sense of fashion. BTW, I don't live in a small town, but I still remember plenty of girls going to class in pajama bottoms when I was in high school, so I totally believe you when you say half of 'em do the same where you are. ;)
